How your library is organised, and what each visibility setting really means.

What just happened: Your folder position lives in the address bar, so refreshing keeps you where you were and the browser Back button walks up the tree.
Worth knowing: Folders count towards your album limit, because folders and albums are the same kind of container underneath.
Inside an album
What just happened: Tags save immediately. Filter chips appear above the grid, and the same tags become browsing tabs on your public album page and feed your Collections page.
Worth knowing: Multi-word tags become hyphenated (“beach wedding” → “beach-wedding”) so they stay a single tag everywhere.
Album header → the badge next to the album name (Private · Manage)
What just happened: Public = anyone browsing your site. Shared = only people holding the link (plus the code, if set). Private = nobody but you.
Worth knowing: Two levels apply together: a client only sees photos you've marked Public inside a Shared album. That's how you share ten photos out of six hundred.
Album header, album rows, or hovering a photo
What just happened: You get a ZIP of clean, unwatermarked files — these are your own originals. Large folders can take several minutes to stream.

Folders and albums share one row format, so the list reads consistently however you have organised it. Each row carries a FOLDER or ALBUM chip so you always know which is which.

Worth knowing: The date is last updated, not last opened. If you are looking for the shoot you touched most recently rather than the one you viewed most recently, this is the column to sort your thinking by.

The confirmation is explicit — it tells you what is inside, then offers two different outcomes rather than guessing:
| Move contents up | The folder goes; its albums move up a level and keep their photos. |
| Delete everything inside | The folder and everything in it goes. |
Worth knowing: Take the wording seriously — the second option is not recoverable, and on a folder of folders it reaches all the way down.
iPhone HEIC files are converted for you. Each upload also generates web-sized copies — a thumbnail, a 1600px web version, and a 3200px large version — while your original file is stored untouched. That is why a gallery loads quickly but a download can still give you the full-resolution file.

Worth knowing: Videos count separately from photos; the album header shows both counts. Video is never re-encoded, so a client downloading a video always gets your original file whatever resolution they picked.

| Select all | Everything currently shown — so filter first, then Select all, to act on a subset. |

| Share link | The link itself, with a copy button. Regenerate issues a new one and instantly kills the old — the way to un-share from one person without disturbing anyone else. |
| Access code | An extra code the visitor must type. Blank means “No code — anyone with the link can view.” |
| Link expiry | A date after which the link stops working. Blank means “No expiry — the link works until you unshare.” |
| Allow downloads | “Let clients download the hi-res originals.” Off means no download controls exist for them at all. |
| Email the link | Sends it from inside the app. Takes several addresses, comma-separated. |
Worth knowing: Two levels of visibility apply together. Inside a Shared album a visitor still only sees photos you have marked public — which is how you deliver ten shots out of six hundred without making a second album.

Worth knowing: These two switches are independent, and the second only has any effect on an album that is actually Shared with published photos in it. Your stored originals are never stamped either way.

Worth knowing: Your own downloads are never watermarked whatever the album's signature settings say — the signature applies to visitors, not to you. Large zips stream as they build, so the file starts arriving before the whole archive exists.
