Delivering to clients

What your client sees, what they can do, and how selections come back to you.

Send a gallery

Album access → Shared

  1. 1Set the album to Shared and copy the link.
  2. 2Make sure the photos you want them to see are marked Public — unpublished photos never appear on the link.
  3. 3Decide on Allow downloads before sending; it controls whether download buttons exist for them at all.

What just happened: Anyone with the link (and code, if set) sees only your published photos. Your dashboard stays private.

What your client does on the link

The shared gallery

  1. 1They browse, and can mark photos ♥ favourite or ✓ selected.
  2. 2Clicking a photo opens it full-screen with the same controls.
  3. 3The bar at the bottom shows their running Selected / Favourites counts; clicking it reviews just those picks.
  4. 4When they're done they click Submit selection and confirm.
  5. 5If downloads are on, they click ↓ and choose Original, Large, or Web.

What just happened: Submitting notifies you and locks their picks — you can re-open it for them. Their downloads carry your signature if you've set one; your stored originals stay clean.

Straighten a photo, or move where it crops

Album → click a photo → Details

  1. 1Rotate left/right fixes a photo that came in sideways. It saves immediately and re-renders the gallery copies — your original upload and any RAW are never changed.
  2. 2Crop position: click the subject in the small preview, or nudge it with the arrow keys, then Save.
  3. 3Crop position only does something where the layout crops — Grid shapes and the Story cover. A stacked flow shows the whole frame, so there is nothing to move.

What just happened: Rotation follows the photo everywhere, including the Web and Large downloads a client takes. Downloading the Original still gives the file exactly as it came off the camera, unrotated — that is deliberate.

Worth knowing: Cameras usually get orientation right on their own; this is for the ones that do not, and for scans.

See your design before anyone else does

Album → Preview ↗

  1. 1Set the album up on the Design tab — Grid or Story, the cover style, background, labels and captions.
  2. 2Click Preview. It opens the album exactly as a visitor sees it, whatever the access mode.
  3. 3A Private album opens an owner-only preview URL. It is not shareable: signed out, or signed in as anyone else, it shows nothing.
  4. 4Public and Shared albums open their real client URL instead, so you are checking the genuine page.

What just happened: The design is identical on all three. The only thing missing outside a shared link is ✓ select and ♥ favourite — those need a share link to belong to, so they cannot exist on a public or private album. Your preview does not count as a view.

What a visitor holding your share link can actually do, and what comes back to you.

What your client sees on a share link

Two separate lists exist on purpose. Couples disagree, and “we both love it” is different information from “put this one in the album”.

♥ favouriteTheir soft “I like this”.
✓ selectedTheir actual pick — the list you will work from.
The counter barRunning Selected and Favourites counts. Clicking it reviews just those.
Submit selectionEnds their pass. Confirmed in an in-page dialog, not a browser popup.
Download, if you allowed it — then Original, Large, or Web.

Worth knowing: Submitting notifies you and locks their picks so they cannot drift afterwards. You can re-open it for them if they ask. Their downloads carry your signature when the album is set that way; your stored originals never do.
